Pita Bread Pizza

I LOVE pizzas, especially chicken ones.  Soo yummy, but I hate making pizza dough.  It takes too much time, so why not make it on a pita bread?

To start off, you’ll need a pita bread.

Add pizza sauce 🙂  2 tbsp to be exact.  Note that this is pasta sauce.  Before topping the pizza, simmer about 4 tbsp in a little saucepan until it gets a bit thicker

Top it with cheese – about 1/4 cup, shredded, and whatever else you want.

I topped mine with spinach, some sort of meat, and onions.  I was really good.  The spinach tastes like nothing, so it’s all good.

Mmmmm…

Sugar-free applesauce recipe

I doubled my batch cause I  just had soo many apples at home! and not to mention that applesauce is sooo good.  I preserved mine in jars cause I had way too much applesauce for me to eat in one sitting ;P

To start off, you’ll need to wash and sterilize the jars you’ll be using.  To sterilize, put in boiling water for 10 minutes; don’t dry them until the last minute.

I used 12 apples of different sizes, but it’s best to use 10-12 medium apples.  Yes, there are 11 apples in the picture, cause I was already chopping one. And please, use sweet apples, not the sour ones ):  The point of this recipe is to not use any sugar, if you use sour apples in this recipe, it might not be as tasty.

Chop them, put them in a food processor, depending on how you like you applesauce.  I chop mine cause I like my applesauce slightly chunky 🙂

Add the apples in a saucepan, along with 1 cup of water and 2 tbsp lemon.  At this point, you should start drying the jars.  I dried mine on a towel, but if you happen to have a dishwasher, I believe you can put it on a heat mode or something which keeps the jars warm.  Not to sure since I don’t have a dishwasher.

Lol looks a little gross, but that’s okay.  Heat the mixture to a boil, then then down heat to medium.  Simmer apples until soft, about 15 minutes.  Then spinkle 1 tsp cinnamon on top. And if you really really want to add some sugar, go ahead and add some brown sugar.  But I’m strongly against it.

Doesn’t this look super tasty? 🙂  Now you can choose to either sieve the applesauce for a thinner applesauce, or mash it.  I decided to slightly mash it, cause sieving’s too much work for me haha.  Now fill the jars.

I made 5 jars worth of applesauce…plus maybe another cup-ful for myself to eat 😛

Awesome, healthy applesauce, just made with 4 ingredients!  You can either eat applesauce alone or even bake with it!  I’ve made a diabetic cake with applesauce before, and it tasted really good for something with less than 1/4 cup sugar and no oil.  You could eat it with bascially anything else…and if you’re crazy like a certain friend, with those mini samosa things which I don’t know the name of o__o
